yesterday was my last day at Sunrise...and it was an exciting one!!
so Theresa, wanting Smartfood, decided to go to Zellers to get some. Well, all of a sudden she comes running back and tells me to come with her RIGHT NOW. so i go trotting down the hallway with her and when we get there, i realize it's one of the characters from CSI!!
on a side note for those of you who don't know -> i adore CSI to no end. LOVE it.
so, turns out it's the Coroner, Dr. Robbins from the show and we talk to the Zellers employees who inform us that he's leaving. so i go running at full speed back to our store (and i'm talking FULL SPEED) run behind the counter, grab two CSI season box sets, open them, throw the wrapping on the floor, chuck them in a bag and run out of the store, still at full speed and looking very much like i just stole them (it was kinda funny) and so i get back to Zellers JUST in time and he signed them for Theresa and I!!! it was so exciting. he was really nice.

Prom Dress Day!
So last Saturday, my second last shift at Sunrise, Kass and I decided to have a prom dress day. turns out we have the same dress, which gave us all the more reason to wear them at the same time!
Stats for the day
number of people who asked if it was the new Sunrise uniform: 3 (all serious)
number of girls we inspired to wear prom dresses to school: 2
number of people who i caught looking at me in a strange way: too many to remember
average age of people who said i looked "darling": 60+yrs
number of people who asked Chris why he wasn't wearing his party dress: 2 haha (background info: Chris happens to be a boy and wasn't too pleased with this question)
i am not impressed
so the other day, the outgoing speaker on my cell phone broke
so made the trek to Square One (a mall of which i despise), on sunday only to have them tell me that they were out of loaner phones.
so i go back today - they have a loaner phone
they won't transfer my phone book unless i pay
i tell them that is ridiculous because it's not my fault my phone broke
i take immaculate care of it because i love it
i do not love the piece of crap for crap phone they gave me (Justi, it's not your model, it's so much worse!!)
i've warmly named it "piece of shite phone"
and they said it'd take FOUR TO SIX WEEKS
so i'm cursed with the crapfone for over a month
ah well, at least i have a phone

oh what a day
well it started out great! and then i got to school and it started to go downhill from there
so i have my video class today and i was planning on recording during class. i had everything booked, the room, the camera, a computer (cause mine is still being held hostage) and a projector. i brought my DVDs and i'm ready to go.
only one litle problem
someone tried to break into the studio on the weekend and now they can't open the door to the room
great.
so the only time i have to film this stuff, i can't do it
i hear banging on the door next door - i think they're going at it with sledgehammers now
and i'm not even kidding
oh and about my computer: the guy told me on THURSDAY that it would be ready in 2 hrs. it's now 4 freaking days later and i still haven't received a call to say it's done. i went in this morning and the dude wasn't even there.

but, no matter what happens, i won't let it get me down

so after 3 and a half long years, i have handed in my resignation at Sunrise.

it's just too much for a part time jorb
so my last day will be October 30th.

so my friend Cheebs (whose real name is Vanessa) moved to California for work last June and i haven't seen her since May!! so we made a date to see each other tonight and i just talked to her now and YAY!

i hate today
it really could possibly be the worst day i've had in a long time
things happened and i can't do anything to make them better.
then i realized i'm the subject of gossip (unrelated to last statement).
and then i go to turn on my computer, and the screen won't turn on!
turns out that the geniuses at Apple made my computer and several others with a faulty video chip. so the screen just doesn't turn on - the computer is on, but the screen just won't work.
it worked fine. then went to lunch. came back and it's broken.
the only good thing is that since it's apple's fault, I don't have to pay
bad thing: they have to keep my computer until the part comes in which could be anywhere from 2 days to THREE F-ING WEEKS.
